Turn It In

Every student needs to create an account at turnitin.com.  I will not grade assignments until they are submitted to TurnItIn.com!!!   All that is required is an e-mail address (which will be your username and be used if you forget your password) and a password with both letters and numbers.  Do not use your ######@guhsd.net email address, as you cannot access it to get password retrieval e-mails, should you need them.  Do make sure you complete the secret question.  Your teacher cannot access your account if you have a password problem.

Your account can be associated with many classes (English, world language, social studies, whatever).  Use the appropriate class ID below and the password "welcome" to enroll.

Period 1 Journalism: 16264007

enrollment key: welcome
All written assignments will be submitted here.  We can also use the discussion boards for journals and written class discussions.

How to make an account:
Go to turnitin.com
Log-in, or if you have never had an account:
Click on "Create account," located under the log-in box for username.  (You can't log in until you make an account, of course!)
In the bottom right section, you will see "New Users" in blue letters.  Click there.
Under "Create a New Account," select "student"  This is at the bottom of the page!
Your e-mail address will be your username, and the password is your call.  Use whatever you want, but it must have LETTERS and      NUMBERS.)
When asked, enter the class ID and enrollment password (p.s.  It's "welcome"!) given above.

How to submit an assignment:
Log in.  Use your e-mail address and the password you picked, NOT the number and "welcome."  Those were only to enroll in this class, a one-time thing.
Click on our class.
Go to assignments.
Click "Submit".
Upload the assignment by finding the document on your machine and attaching or doing a copy/paste.
